Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding
Downhill Skiing
It’s been called the ‘best skiing east of the Rockies’ and anyone who has skied Marble Mountain knows why.
The resort lies in a Snow Belt and gets and average annual snowfall of 16 feet. Marble Mountain is part of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain Range, stretching up from Georgia in the Southern United States. The summit of Marble Mountain is 1,700 feet above the Humber River which cuts a winding path through the majestic Humber Valley to the Bay of Islands.
The trails are open on Friday evenings for skiing. Marble Mountain offers private individual lessons of 1, 2 or 6 hours for the price of 5. Groups lessons for a minimum of 4 people and of course the Ski School that offer 2 hours skiing daily. Choose either the 9.30 am sessions or 1.00 pm sessions. These times may change at weekends.
Snowboarding
There is no shortage of rails and trails for the boarding buff at Marble Mountain with all slopes open to snow boarders! Marble Mountain has the largest terrain park and half pipe in Atlantic Canada. Grab your board and head to the mountain.
The half pipe is open on Friday evenings so you can rip up under the stars and lights.
